Printing

PRINTING on campus computers is done through a system called Secure Print. When you print to Secure Print (selected by default on open lab computers) your document goes into a que under your StarID account for printing at a later time. The print jobs are held for about 24 hours.

Print from a Campus Computer:

  1. Press Ctrl + P on your document and verify that SecurePrint is selected and send it to the printer. (Secure Print should be the default printer)
  2. Swipe your student ID at the printer or enter your StarID and StarID password manually by selecting the key in the bottom right.
  3. Select the print job(s) you want to print that are found in your que.
  4. Select ‘Print and Keep’ to print the paper and keep it in que, or select ‘Print and Delete’ to print it and delete it from the que, or select ‘Print All’ to print everything in your que.

*If the printer is printing double sided and you want single sided select the print job that you want to modify. Then click options and where it says ‘Duplex’ at the top push the down arrow and select ‘Simplex’. Finally, at the bottom push ‘Set Options’.

*If you want to print in color and the printer is a color printer you can select the print job you want to modify. Then click options and where it says ‘Color Mode’ push the down arrow and select ‘Color’. Finally, at the bottom push ‘Set Options’.
