A preferred name is a name, different from your legal name (or variation of), that a person has chosen to identify themselves. A preferred name will appear on class rosters and other records, except where the legal name is required (such as financial aid records, billing, and student transcripts). You can submit a preferred name request at the Student Services desk or in eServices.
