What is SAP (Satisfacory Academic Progress)?

Normandale Policy required that all students must meet satisfactory academic progress standards in order to attend classes, to remain eligible for financial aid, and to be considered in good academic standing.  To meet this requirement, all students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and a completion rate of 66.66% or higher.  The first semester in which you do not meet these standards, you will be placed on academic and financial aid warning.  The second semester in which you do not meet these standards, you will be placed on academic and financial aid suspension.  If you are placed on academic suspension, you will not be able to enroll in classes unless you successfully appeal.  If you are placed on financial aid suspension, you are not eligible to receive financial aid unless you successfully appeal.  For more information about satisfactory academic progress and information on how to appeal, go to www.normandale.edu/SAP.
